The Barlow Doherty team top 5 wines for Christmas... 1. Abi - Volnay-Santenots, Hospices de Beaune, 1er Cru 2005. Bought at the Hospices auction to celebrate our wedding - a delicious treat with the turkey!
2. Miguel - What I want Santa to bring is Principal Grande Reserva 2009 - an award winning Portuguese red with a deep, intense aroma of crushed berries and spices; reflected in the simple, tonal yet luxury packaging.
3. Stephi - La Liebre Y La Tortuga Albarino 2011 - translates as The Hare and The Tortoise. It's for the Christmas party we are hosting this weekend. Matthew Jukes declared it "my favourite Spanish white in aeons" and he and I also agree the label is very cute too.
4. Clemi - San Leo Prosecco Brut. A well priced Prosecco (and everyone loves Prosecco, especially at 11am on Christmas Day!) ; all the flavours of pears and tangerines, the perfect Christmas aperitif.
5. Hannah - I had a delicious Viognier at a wine course a few weeks ago, Yalumba Organic Viognier. As a red wine drinker, I was surprised how much I enjoyed it; great depth. The colourful illustrations and raised varnish on the label are used to great effect and the texture of the paper really portrays quality, yet it's under £10.
Happy Christmas from all at Barlow Doherty Creative!
