Our nostalgia has run to travel. Especially trains. The era of 'proper' train travel, when trains were the aspirational transportation of choice. Comfy seats, separate carriages with pull down windows (you could hang your head out of) and a dining car, with waiters. The Transandine Route connected the Atlantic ocean to the Pacific ocean. From Mendoza in Argentina, across the Andes to Santa Rose de Los Andes in Chile. The route has been out of service since 1984, so in memory alone it exists. It must have been a visually stunning journey.
Our new label for PLB is 'First Class'. A detailed label which takes its inspiration from vintage train ticket design. The clean and delicate typography adds a premium edge, whilst the bespoke die-cut ticket-stub label shape harks back to those times of splendid rail travel. Buen viaje!.
