We love a map. Simple as that. Maps not only interpret the world through design but tell a story, allowing the reader's imagination to wander and fill in the gaps. At BD, the new book by the Serpentine Gallery curator Hans Ulrich, Mapping It Out: An Alternative Atlas of Contemporary Cartographies has had us all buzzing with inspiration. The book brings together 130 maps from artists, designers, scientists, authors and architects including Jon Baldessari, Yoko Ono and Tim Berners-Lee. Some of the maps offer a background explanation while others are left to speak for themselves. A fascinating collection.

We integrated an old Spanish map into our new design for PLB, it plays to Spain's rich nautical heritage and we maximised shelf impact with a red foil. 

Now on sale at Morrisons, in the wine aisle. A map should not be required to locate, but could be a nice touch.
